How Gita Academy Math handles account information, learning progress and deletion requests.

Effective date: 8 November 2026Developer: Pragneshkumar Patel

1. Who we are

Gita Academy Math is an Android mathematics learning app developed by Pragneshkumar Patel. This policy explains how the app and its account services handle information.

For privacy questions or requests, email gitaacademy2017@gmail.com. Gita Academy Math is intended for users aged 13 and older.

2. Information we handle

Accounts

If you create an account, Firebase Authentication processes your email address, password, Firebase user identifier and email-verification status. It manages your sign-in session and account verification and password-reset emails. Your password is sent to Firebase Authentication, not to a separate app-owned password database. Signup does not ask for your name, phone number or date of birth.

Learning and tutor progress

Learning progress, topic activity, skill counters and streaks are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. Guest progress, each signed-in account’s progress and legacy unowned progress are kept separately. The current app does not synchronize this progress to an app-owned cloud database.

Calculator questions and daily allowance

The current calculator processes maths questions locally. It does not send them to a remote solver or AI service. The daily free-question allowance records the date and cryptographic hashes derived from questions, rather than raw question text. These hashes are not guaranteed to be anonymous. The allowance belongs to the app installation rather than an individual account.

Trial records

Existing Basic trial records contain an account-linked identifier and trial start and end dates. The current app flow does not automatically start a new trial through the retained trial service.

Deletion requests

The deletion process uses account identifiers, confirmation information, a secret receipt, processing status and retry information. For deletion started in the app, a receipt is also kept privately on the initiating device so local cleanup can finish after the cloud account is removed.

A minimal server-side completion record remains after deletion. The in-app route retains a status. The email-assisted route retains a status and an opaque case identifier. These records are not represented as anonymous simply because they omit direct identifiers such as your email address.

Technical and support information

Firebase and Google Cloud services may process IP addresses, installation or messaging identifiers, app and SDK information, device and operating-system metadata, and backend-request information to provide authentication, security and service operation. Some technical processing can occur without an app account. See Firebase’s Android data disclosures.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. For an account-deletion request, the developer also keeps a private case record of the account, ownership and consent checks, correspondence references and processing result.

3. How information is used

  • Provide accounts, sign-in, email verification and password resets.
  • Save progress and provide learning and tutor activities.
  • Maintain the daily calculator allowance and existing trial records.
  • Protect account operations and operate the backend.
  • Process deletion requests, recognize completed requests and recover interrupted processing.
  • Respond to privacy and support enquiries.

The current app does not implement advertising, payment processing or a remote AI solver.

4. Service providers and access

Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide account and backend services. These include Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Eventarc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks and Cloud Logging.

Google and its relevant subprocessors process information to provide these services. Authorized project administrators and backend service identities can access the information needed to operate the app. Privacy and deletion-request emails are handled by the developer through the Gmail contact address above.

See Firebase’s privacy information and Google’s privacy policy for information about these providers.

5. Storage and security

Local learning, tutor and allowance records use Android app-private storage. Firebase communications use HTTPS encryption in transit.

The app’s Firestore database and backend services use Google Cloud’s asia-south1 region in India. Firebase Authentication uses US data centres, and other provider processing may occur outside your country. Information is not stored exclusively in India.

Android backup or device-transfer services may copy ordinary local app records, depending on your device settings. The app’s deletion-receipt journal is stored in a directory excluded from Android backup. See Android backup information.

Keep account credentials private.

Do not email your password, verification codes, reset links, authentication tokens or secret deletion receipts.

6. Retention and deletion

InformationHow long it remains
Account informationRetained by Firebase Authentication until account deletion is initiated. Google states that removal from its live and backup systems can take up to 180 days after that point.
Learning and tutor progressRemains on the device. Deletion started in the app removes that account’s progress on the initiating device after server completion and local cleanup. Email-assisted deletion cannot remotely erase offline device data.
Daily calculator allowanceThe installation’s allowance is separate from account progress and is preserved during account deletion.
Existing trial recordsTrial expiry does not itself remove the record. The account-deletion process removes the associated trial record and its covered nested data.
Deletion completion recordsA minimal status record remains to recognize completion and support safe retries and, for the in-app route, device cleanup. The email-assisted record also retains an opaque case identifier. No fixed deletion deadline is set for these completion records. They are separate from support emails and private case records.
Other deletion-operation recordsProcessing, retry, alias or abandoned receipt records may remain. Account deletion does not itself clear every operation record.
Deletion-request support emails and private case recordsThe developer manually deletes these once they are no longer needed, within 90 days after the deletion request is completed, unless a legal obligation or an unresolved issue requires a particular record to be kept longer. They may be deleted sooner. This is a manual process, not automatic deletion, and does not apply to Firebase completion receipts.
Other support correspondenceA fixed retention period has not been set for correspondence unrelated to a completed account-deletion request.
Provider logs, identifiers and backupsThe account-deletion flow does not automatically erase all provider logs, installation identifiers or backups. These are also subject to the relevant provider’s retention settings and policies. Existing Android backups or copies on other devices are not remotely erased.

The 180-day Firebase statement applies to Authentication information, not to every category of app data. See Firebase’s retention information.

7. Your account and privacy requests

You can request permanent deletion in the app or by emailing gitaacademy2017@gmail.com. The account-deletion page explains the steps, ownership checks, what is removed and what can remain.

Deleting the app or signing out does not delete your Firebase account. Email-assisted deletion does not require you to reinstall or sign in to the app, but it cannot remotely erase device-local progress or existing backups.

For other questions or requests about your personal information, contact the same address. Do not include passwords or other authentication secrets.

8. Younger users

Gita Academy Math is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact gitaacademy2017@gmail.com.

9. Policy updates

The policy should be read together with the app version you use. The date at the top identifies the policy version. For questions about this policy or changes to the app’s data practices, contact Pragneshkumar Patel at gitaacademy2017@gmail.com.
